I wasn't expecting to go as far as I did today. My only plan was to run my typical 3 mile run that my training program required. I was hoping to have one "fast mile" and then just finish the rest at whatever pace I did. I ended up doing 6.1 miles in 1:18 minutes. It felt so good to just keep going. And that's really surprising to me because I felt pretty sluggish for the first 3 miles. In the past, when I felt this sluggish I would have stopped and gave up. I'm pretty proud of myself right now and I'm feeling good!
On a side note, this is my second run in a row without music and I'm really liking it. I think because I concentrate on the run and my surroundings rather than what song and how many songs have played.
What's your take... Run with or without music and why?

I absolutely can not remember if I've EVER run 6 miles without music - that's a feat in itself!! Great run!
I am pretty much a slave to music when I run. I once did an entire marathon with no music and to this day I don't know how I did it!
I must have music when running, especially for that long. Once I hear that beat going, it gets my heart flowin'!!
